Events
Nobody is going to present anything.
Long dinners. A cabana at the Hoover Met in May. Afternoons that run later than anyone planned. Nobody hands you a folder and nobody works the room. You come because the company is good.

You have been to the other kind
Somebody presents. Somebody collects cards. Everyone leaves knowing exactly what they were there for, and it wasn't the company.
Ours are the opposite. We put real thought into the room, the food, and who is in it, and then we get out of the way. The conversation goes wherever a good table takes it.
No slides. No follow-up call unless you ask for one.
The room
Who you'll be standing next to
- Clients & guestsMostly people we work with, plus whoever they thought would enjoy the evening. That's how nearly all of it grows.
- SpousesCome together. The decisions that matter in your life get made by two people, and we'd rather know both of you.
- People we trustThe CPAs, attorneys, and practice consultants we work alongside. Worth knowing whether or not you ever call us.
- A few new facesNot everyone in the room is a client. Some never will be. That has never once made a night worse.
What we host
What we host
We keep the rooms small and put the effort into the details most people notice. Dates go out by invitation.
Tastings
An evening built around something worth trying, usually with a distillery partner walking the table through it. Small enough that you can actually hear the person across from you.
Dinners
Eight or ten people, one table, one long evening. These are the ones people mention years later, usually because of who they ended up sitting beside.
The SEC tournament
We take a cabana at the Hoover Met for the week. Bring the kids, stay an inning or stay all night. It's the least financial thing we do all year and comfortably the most popular.
Margs & margs
Margaritas and margherita pizzas, and yes we make the dough ourselves. Bring the family. It is the loosest night on the calendar and the one people ask about first.
Something bigger
Golf at a course worth the drive, or a night out that takes real planning. The ones people clear their calendar for.

How people end up in the room
There's no list you can sign up for, and that isn't an affectation. Almost everyone comes the first time because someone already in the room brought them, which is exactly why the rooms stay good.
If you'd like to come and you don't know anyone who's been, ask. We'll tell you what's next. You are not signing up for a conversation about your money.
Host one with us
If you're a CPA, an attorney, or a practice administrator with a group of people worth getting in a room, we'll put on the evening. You bring the people; we handle the rest.
It's how most of our best professional relationships in Birmingham started, and none of them started with a presentation either.
Recent
A few years of it.

Let's talk next steps
One conversation, and you'll know whether we're useful.
Thirty minutes. No cost, no pitch. You tell us what's on your mind and we tell you honestly what we see, including when the answer is that you don't need us.
